Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to get it deleted — for the website, the web app, and the TrussIQ mobile apps.
Last updated: August 24, 2026Applies to trussiqcrm.com, your TrussIQ workspace, and the TrussIQ mobile apps for iOS and Android.
The short version
- We do not sell or share your personal information, and there is no advertising or ad tracking in our apps.
- The mobile app captures your location and a photo only at the moment you clock in or out — never in the background.
- The records your business creates belong to your business. We hold them to run the service on its behalf.
- You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time — see “Deleting your account and your data”.
Who we are and what this covers
TrussIQ CRM, LLC (“TrussIQ”, “we”, “us”) builds a CRM and field-operations platform for contractors and the construction trades. This policy explains how we handle personal information across our public website at trussiqcrm.com, the TrussIQ web app and the workspace your business signs into, and the TrussIQ mobile apps for iOS and Android — together, the “Services”.
If you use TrussIQ because your employer subscribes to it, read “Whose data is whose” next: for much of the information inside a workspace, the business — not TrussIQ — decides what is collected and how long it is kept.
Whose data is whose
TrussIQ is a multi-tenant platform: every business runs in its own isolated workspace, and no business can see another’s data.
For account, profile, and billing information about the businesses that subscribe and the people who sign in, we are the controller — we decide why and how it is processed, and this policy governs.
For the working content a business puts into its workspace — its clients, quotes, orders, job photos, notes, and documents — that business is the controller and we act as its processor, handling the data under our agreement with them and on their instructions. If you are a customer of a business that uses TrussIQ and you want your information corrected or deleted, contact that business first; if you reach us instead, we will pass the request on to them.
Information we collect
We do not use advertising identifiers, we do not embed advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- Account and profile
- Name, work email, phone number, role, business name, assigned location, profile photo, and language and unit preferences. Passwords are set and verified by our identity provider; we never see them in readable form.
- Workspace content
- The records your business creates in TrussIQ: clients and leads, quotes and orders, catalog and inventory, schedules and work orders, tasks, comments, attachments, and job photos. This can include personal information about your business’s own customers.
- Location data
- When you clock in or out in the mobile app, we record the device’s GPS position at that moment, so hours can be tied to a job site. Location is read only while the app is open and you are making a punch. We do not track location in the background and we do not build a location history between punches.
- Camera and photos
- A photo taken at clock-in and clock-out to confirm who is punching, plus any job photos, receipts, or documents you choose to attach to a record.
- Payment and billing
- Plan, seat counts, invoices, and billing status. Subscription payments and in-app customer payments are processed by Stripe — card numbers go to Stripe directly and are never stored on our servers.
- Communications
- What you send through the contact form on our website or to our support address, and the messages, comments, mentions, and announcements you write inside the app.
- Device and diagnostic data
- Device model, operating system, app version, language, IP address, and crash and error logs — used to keep the apps working and to investigate problems you report.
- Website analytics
- On trussiqcrm.com we use Google Analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages get read. These analytics cookies run on the public website, not inside your workspace.
How we use information
We do not use your workspace content for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- Run the Services
- Create and secure accounts and workspaces, and operate quotes, orders, scheduling, catalog, contracts, and payments.
- Time and attendance
- Record clock-in and clock-out punches with the location and photo captured at the punch, so an employer can verify hours worked.
- Communicate
- Send transactional email — invitations, password setup, notifications, invoices, contract requests — and answer support and sales enquiries.
- Billing
- Manage subscriptions, seats, invoices, and payouts.
- Support and troubleshooting
- Reproduce and fix problems you report to us.
- Security and abuse prevention
- Detect suspicious sign-ins, prevent fraud, and protect the Services and the people using them.
- Improve the product
- Understand, in aggregate, which features get used and where people get stuck.
- Legal and compliance
- Meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
Mobile app permissions
The TrussIQ mobile apps ask for the permissions below. Each is requested at the moment it is first needed, with an explanation, and the app keeps working — with that one feature unavailable — if you decline.
- Location, while using the app
- Stamps a clock-in or clock-out with where the punch happened. Requested the first time you punch. We never request “always” or background location.
- Camera
- Takes the photo attached to a punch, and any job photos you add to a record.
- Photo library
- Only when you choose to attach an existing photo or document. We receive the file you pick, not your library.
- Notifications
- Optional. Delivers task assignments, mentions, announcements, and order updates.
You can change or revoke any of these at any time in your device settings.
Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information on these bases: performance of a contract, to run the Services for you and the business you work for; legitimate interests, to secure the platform, prevent fraud, improve the product, and answer enquiries; consent, where the app asks for a device permission and for non-essential cookies; and legal obligation, for tax, accounting, and lawful requests.
Where we act as a processor for a business, that business is responsible for the legal basis of its own processing.
How long we keep it
We keep workspace content for as long as the business’s account is active, because holding those records is the service the business is paying for. When a subscription ends, we keep the workspace for a limited wind-down window so the business can export or reactivate it, then delete it.
Account records, invoices, and tax documents are kept for as long as the law requires — typically seven years for financial records. Diagnostic and error logs are kept on a short rolling window. Anything deleted also ages out of our encrypted backups on the normal backup rotation.
Deleting your account and your data
You can ask us to delete your TrussIQ account and the personal information tied to it at any time. There is no charge and you do not have to give a reason.
- From inside the app
- An administrator in your workspace can remove a user from the Team screen, which ends that person’s access and removes their profile.
- By request
- Write to us from the email address on the account with the subject “Delete my account”, or send the same request through the contact form. Include the account email and, if you know it, the name of the business or workspace.
- Deleting a whole workspace
- If you own the business account and want the entire workspace removed, say so in the request and we will delete the workspace and all of the records in it.
We verify the request against the email on the account, then delete the account and the personal information associated with it within 30 days. Copies held in encrypted backups age out within 90 days.
What we keep, and why: records we are legally required to retain, such as invoices and tax documents, and data that has been anonymized or aggregated so it can no longer identify you.
If you are an employee of a business that uses TrussIQ, some of your data — timesheets, for example — forms part of your employer’s own records. We will delete your personal account and pass any request about the employer’s records on to them.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access
- Get a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct
- Fix information that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete
- Have your personal information erased — see the section above.
- Take it with you
- Receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Object or restrict
- Object to, or ask us to limit, certain processing.
- Withdraw consent
- Take back consent you gave, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
- Not be penalised
- Use any of these rights without being charged a different price or given a lower quality of service.
California residents: we do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, including for anyone under 16, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
EEA and UK residents: you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us with the details below. We verify requests against the email address on the account and reply within the time the applicable law allows — generally 30 to 45 days.
Children
TrussIQ is a tool for businesses. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
How we protect information
Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Each business’s data is isolated in its own tenant space, and access inside the app is limited by role — Super Admin, Instance Admin, and Store Admin — so people only reach what their job requires. Payment card data goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. Access to production systems is limited to the staff who need it.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as the law requires.
Where your information is processed
TrussIQ is operated from the United States, and personal information is stored and processed on servers there. If you use the Services from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to the United States. Where required, transfers out of the EEA or the UK rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will give notice inside the app or by email before it takes effect.
